Feel Unique December 2011

I have actually had this box for a while but only just got round to posting about it, christmas has totally sidetracked me from my blog (sorry!) but i just LOVE everything about christmas.

I was expecting great things from all the beauty boxes this month, being christmas and all and Feel Unique certainly hasn't disappointed me. I can't compare it to other boxes yet though, as i STILL haven't got my hands on my Glossybox and my Carmine box hasn't arrived yet either, le sigh!

Living Nature Skincare Samples x3
A cleanser, toning gel and day cream sample, nice little extra but honestly, the size of the samples aren't enough to sway me into purchasing, there is no way you can 'road test' these with one use.

Clarisonic Gentle hydro Cleanser
I was excited to see this brand in my box, it smells really nice and leaves my skin feeling super soft and smooth. I have almost used up the whole tube and will definitely be looking into making a purchase once it's all gone.

Figs and Rouge Sweet Geranium 100% Organic Balm
A multi-use balm that can be used on just about anything from dry skin to chapped lips, perfect for these colder months! It smells very 'organic' which i'm not sure if i like or dislike? The texture is a little oily but nothing too bad to not use it. Popped this in my mums christmas bag (she loves lip balms etc!) so i can't comment on how well it works at the moment.

Nails Inc Nail Polish in 'Oxford Circus'
Very happy to find a Nails Inc polish in my box this month, although it is a super mini version! It applies really well and it isn't streaky, but is it just me who thinks baby pink is an odd colour to call 'Oxford Circus'?!

Annick Goutal Mandragore Eau de Toilette
Now, you all will know i HATE receiving perfume samples in beauty boxes, mainly because they are tiny, cheap ones that you can usually get for free if you really wanted them. However, Feel Unique have certainly upped their game by sending a 25ml miniature bottle of this lovely wintery scent. I don't particularly love the smell but i don't dislike it either. I have actually wrapped this up (not that it needed to be since it comes in a lovely gift bag!) and put it i with my Grandmas presents.

TIGI Bed Head Candy Fixations Sugar Dust
A 'hair dust' that will absorb oils, add volume and texture. Great product but it is practically the same as the Schwarzkopf Professional OSIS+ Dust It Mattifying Powder that came in the last Feel Unique Box which is a little disappointing.

Feel Unique is definitely one of my favourite beauty boxes, it always has products that i will use and am excited to find, not to mention it's the cheapest of the boxes i receive, so worth the money!

Whats In My Everyday Makeup Bag?

I was pondering over a few post ideas i had today and realised i have never done an everyday makeup post.
As you probably have all noticed, i like to keep my make up super plain and simple and i rarely switch anything up other than blushes and lipsticks.
On a morning i tend to grab my little make up bag full of these goodies and get to work.

Monu Revitalising Moisturiser
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer- Light 02
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation- 53
E.L.F Mineral Foundation- Warm
E.L.F HD Powder

Sleek Contour Kit- Medium
MAC Mineralize Blush- Giggly

HD Brows- Foxy
L'Oreal Carbon Gloss Super Liner
Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara- Black

MAC Lipstick- Creme Cup

Nails of the day- Christmas twinkle

Revlon- Emerald City
E.L.F- Golden Goddess

I actually really like this combo, looks christmassy without going over the top drawing santa and/or snowmen all over your nails (not that i'm against elaborate nail art, as you all know!).
I picked up the Revlon polish along with a few others in no other than my local Poundland! (Small haul to come?!) I was over the moon when i found them. This forest green colour is slightly metallic and has a lovely matte finish which i am really into at the moment.

What are you currently wearing on your nails, anything fun and festive?

Christmas Gift Guide- Music Lovers

Christmas is my favourite time of year, i love everything about it! The decorations, the smell of the christmas tree and even those cold winter evenings looking for last minute christmas gifts, i love it all.
As much as i love giving presents, thinking of the perfect gifts for people can be pretty difficult so, to try and help inspire you all, i thought i would put together a few ideas i have for presents this christmas time.
To make things easier, i will be doing a few short and sweet 'themed' posts, this one obviously being for all those music lovers out there.

Practically everybody likes music, (In fact i've NEVER met anybody who doesn't!) so if your completely at a loss for a gift for a certain somebody, something music related is often the way to go.

The most obvious thing to go for is an something to play music on, there are tonnes of choices but personally i would go for an IPod touch (Pictured above), these come in black or white and start at £169 and go up to a whopping £329!

If your budget is tight and let's face it, who's isn't right now? Why not go and pick up a CD, you can never go wrong with  CD! (unless, of course, you buy your Gran the latest album from Eminem!)
I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to find any of these in my christmas stocking:
Jessie J- Who you are
Amy Winehouse- Lioness: Hidden Treasures
Drake- Take Care
Rihanna Talk That Talk

Want to be a little bit different? Gig tickets are great to receive and although some can be quite pricey, try looking out for smaller artists/bands playing at smaller venues as these tend to be the best gigs to attend while also being a bit easier on your bank balance.
I also found this quite little sketchbook made from an old vinyl on, super cool for collecting autographs!

Finally, if your looking for something cute and quirky these crochet headphones are sure to be a hit.
I found these on the Late To The Revolution Etsy store and fell in love. They come in any colour you can imagine and are even available in cute little animal ears. They are adjustable and really comfy to wear (i usually hate wearing headphones!), not to mention, keep your ears nice and warm in the cooler weather!
I don't know about you, but i would much rather rock these than any other boring standard headphones and at £25 these are a great buy.

So these are just a few of my ideas, do you have any music mad relatives or friends? What will you be getting them this christmas?

What would you like the theme of the next 'Christmas Gift Guide' to be?!

Etsy Shop Review and GIVEAWAY- Kaylaivelisse

I was recently browsing Etsy and i stumbled across a shop called Kaylaivelisse i was drawn in by the statement jewellery she stocked so she was kind enough to send me a few of her products to share on my blog.

First off, i have to say i ADORE everything she sent me and have actually worn everything a few times already (and received a few compliments on my new pieces too!)
The style of her products are totally up my street, simple but with an edge. They are so easy to wear on a daily basis and spice up a boring outfit.

Apart from the obvious (how lovely the pieces are!) the main thing that drew me into looking at her shop was the prices.
I have searched high and low for  items like these but everything i have found before had ridiculous price tags, £5+ for a pair of cross earrings, i think not! These from Kaylaivelisse however start at just over £2.50 for earrings and just over £4.50 for ear cuffs. Those are Primark prices, right there!

My absolute favourite pieces are the amazing turquoise cross studs, the feather ear cuff and the fabulous pair of spike drop earrings.

Kaylaivelisse is situated in Florida, however shipping took a mere 3 days, i was amazed at how quickly they arrived. (there is nothing worse than waiting forever to get something, right?!)
Overall i love my experience with this store, so much so that i would like to do a giveaway!

All you have to do to enter is:

1- Be a follower of my blog

2- Comment below with the item you would like to win from Kaylaivelisse along with a way to contact you (Blog link or email address)

If you want like to gain extra entries to the giveaway:

1- Follow me on twitter @peach_fizzz

2- Tweet 'I've just entered a @peach_fizzz blog #Giveaway at #BBloggers'

This giveaway will close in a weeks time, Friday 9th December has been extended until Sunday 11th December and the winner will be picked at random.

Good luck!

Nails of the day- Floral

Models Own- Lemon Meringue
Leighton Denny- Babydoll
Essie- Cute As A Button
Barry M- Mint Green
Models Own- Pearly Queen

First of all, i'm super sorry for the lack of posting recently, i've had a week full of unwanted and unexpected drama so haven't had the time.
Here is a quick post of my nails at the moment,
I really like this design, it's easy to do but, oh my word, it seemed to take forever!
I also shaped them a little different this time, what do you think, like or dislike?

Outfit of the day- Little Velvet Owl

MAC Mineralize Blush- Light Over Dark
MAC Lipstick- Creme Cup
Models Own Nail Polish- Feeling Blue
Barry M- Matt White
Nail tutorial HERE

Earrings- Topshop
Large Stone Ring- H&M
Stacked Rings- H&M
Spiked Ring- GWAAN

Owl Belt- Primark
Tunic- New Look
Velvet Leggings- River Island
Ballet Pumps- New Look

I've been dying to wear these leggings! As you probably know, i LIVE in my plain black pairs, but lately my legs have been freezing in the cold weather so i was on the lookout for something a bit thicker. I did find a fleece lined pair of leggings in New Look but they didn't have my size available so when i found these velvet beauties in River Island i snapped them up. They fit really well and keep me nice and warm at the same time, not to mention they are bang on trend, SCORE!

Just before i go i would just like to say a little 'Hello!' to Shareen, she recently left me a lovely little comment which really made my day so, thank you for that!
I do read everyones comments and emails i receive, i love seeing you all enjoy my posts and talking about what i write, it is one of the main reasons i continue to enjoy blogging!

Carmine Beauty Box November 2011

I actually received my box on Friday night, that's right 7.30PM, i didn't even know the Royal Mail still delivered at that time?! Oh well...

When i first opened the box i was a bit disappointed, as it looked half empty but on further inspection i was delighted, THREE full sized products! YIPPIEEE!

So down to the nitty gritty, here is what was in the box...

Neom Organic Body Lotion
Smells nice and a girl can never have enough body lotion right? Will definitely be using this.

Lulus Time Bomb Flashback Night Cream
Again, something i will use, smells good and i actually don't own a night cream so this was nice to receive.

A La Carte Cosmetics Brow Ink- Taupe
I never used to do anything to my eyebrows (except pluck them) before i received the HD Brow kit in my Glossybox, but since then, i have loved doing them everyday so this will be nice to try out, not sure it will look that great though since the swatch i did feathered quite a bit?

Dainty Doll Eyeliner Pencil- 003 Goody Two Shoes
This brand is by Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud. I have been eyeing it up for a while and wanting to give something a go but never got round to it. Glad to find this in my box although i don;t tend to use eyeliner pencils too much. LOVE the packaging though.

New CID I-Pout Lipstick- Very Cherry
So excited to find a lipstick in my box (i'm a bit obsessed with them of late!) and the mirror and light are such a neat little idea. I was a little disappointed to get 'Very Cherry' though as it is totally not my colour so i shan't be using it, BOOOOO!

All in all i LOVE this box purely because it's practically full of Make-up (still on the hunt for a beauty box dedicated to make-up and nails!) and the things that aren't make up are things i will definitely use.
Well done Carmine, can't wait to see what you have planned for the December box!!

What did everybody else think of this box, like it as much as i did?

High Street Lipstick Collection Part 3- Natural Collection, Collection 2000, GOSH, Barry M

The last few remaining lipsticks from my High Street collection. These are some of the most affordable lipsticks of my collection and the collection 2000 cream puffs are some of my favourite formulation wise.
If you want any more in depth reviews remember to just let me know!

Nails of the day- Acid Wash

If your anything like me, you will love the newest Rihanna music video, 'We found love'.
The video has an amazing grunge-y vibe which of course contains plenty of distressed denim. Now, this may seem slightly weird but i ADORE the distressed look, in particular in denim. (i think it's my inner fashion design freak coming through!) My absolute fave type of distressed denim is acid wash and as you can see from the pictures above, Rihanna rocks this so well in her video.

I was re-doing my manicure last night and was a bit stuck as to what design to go with (believe it or not, i didn't feel like leopard print again this week!) so i thought why not take inspiration from my current favourite music video and create my very own acid wash nails.

First of all i took a denim blue colour (Models Own- Feeling Blue) as a base and left to dry. Any typical denim colour is fine, blues, black, greys. You don't even have to stick with those, any colour would work since it looks like a tie dye pattern too.

I then painted a thin layer of white nail polish over the top (Barry M- Matt White) and again left to completely dry.

Once dry, i got a cotton bud soaked in nail polish remover and began to remove the white layer of polish. Try not to rub too much in the same spot as you don't want to remove the blue.

Once you are happy with the pattern, apply a top coat. I used my E.L.F Matte top coat to make it look even more grunge-y and i LOVE the outcome.

Such a unique yet easy nail design. Will you be giving it a go?

GlossyBox November 2011

I wasn't planning to write this review today, however i have a few things that i need to get off my chest about what used to be my favourite beauty box, Glossybox!

So i received my box this morning, opened it, and like last month, wasn't particularly blown away by the contents. I headed on over to the GlossyBox facebook page and it was overflowing with disappointed subscribers, many of which are threatening to cancel their subscriptions.
Now, the contents of the box was not the reason i was disappointed this month. Yes, the contents weren't amazing but i knew when i subscribed that beauty boxes can be very hit and miss, some months you will love, some months you will dislike. The reason i was heading over to the facebook page was to express my feelings and to inform others about GlossyBox's new way to get their name into the beauty world.

Glossybox have recently recruited ambassadors (all of which are beauty bloggers/vloggers) who now receive Glossybox FREE OF CHARGE (even beauty bloggers/vloggers who have expressed their dislike for GlossyBox in the past!), the week before everybody else, to 'review' for everybody. Now, Glossybox say they receive the same box as we do, which to some extent IS true, however they  generally seem to be receiving the better selection of products, hardly a coincidence in my eyes.
I am all for beauty bloggers and vloggers receiving free samples from companies now and again to review but to receive every future box free of charge seems a little much and VERY unfair, particularly for subscribers who have paid for every box from the beginning!

Anyway, now my mini rant informative info for you all, is now over, here is what was in the box...

Monu Revitalising Moisturiser
I had a quick try of this product and it was actually quite nice. I never buy moisturisers myself so i will enjoy this.

Arbonne FC5 Cooling Foot Creme
Again, not something i buy myself, so will use this up and see what it's like, smells lovely.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Bath Salts
BORING! I mean, it looks like it will be nice to the skin, but with two young children i rarely get the chance to have a bath to use this to it's full potential and besides haven;t Glossybox already had products VERY similar to this in previous months?!

Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps
You may or may not have already seen my review on these awful things HERE, again, another repeat product.

Serge Lutens Perfume Samples
Perfume samples are the worst part of all beauty boxes, does ANYBODY enjoy them?

I'm pretty sure i will be unsubscribing after the December box, i'm hoping they pull something amazing out of the bag for christmas before i leave.

How do you all feel about other well known bloggers receiving free boxes?
